Here is a little bit about the way the future is panning out for 2007 regarding US poker players. Already we have seen changes with Party Poker dropping from being the most popular poker site and other US based poker sites pushing into the lead while shady "workaround" depositing sites spring up.
Market specialists and professional online poker players warned that a ban on online gambling in the US would only cause some poker operators to go underground. Forum posts of sites known as "workaround" depositing sites are being seen already, players are being urged to steer clear of these potentially scammy sites.
These "workaround" sites are popping up all around and more are likely to pop up if Netteller closes to US gamblers. Many of these sites will be operating un-licensed.
The online poker rooms like Ace Venue Poker will continue to play catchup with the new leader in online poker, poker stars. This new leading US accepting site is being trailed by the non us accepted site, party poker which has been gaining a considerable strong hold over the non US world markets.
Online gambling bans similar to that of the US are still an ugly reality for those in Germany and France, which could pummel the already battered online gambling sites. Many are expecting to see bans in the new year.
Time is beginning to run out as there is an estimated 189 days left of the full 270 days before regulation sets in. Many ewallet providers and online poker sites continue to "not comment" while how the US intend to police this law is still an unknown, not just to the people of the online community no doubt!
The new year will bring many changes to the US online poker player and Ace Venue Poker urges you to make informed decisions and stay updated on news regarding your local laws at www.acevenue.com. For more information on US Online Gambling legislation click here
